Any registered voter living in the 44th LD who is willing to be known publicly as a Democrat is welcome to attend the 44th LD Caucus.

This time, we hope to have a smoother sign-in, and food, too! Please bring cold pot-luck lunch items to share, such as sandwiches, fruit, drinks, cookies, etc. We don't know how many people will be there!

The primary business of the 44th LD Caucus is to elect 27 delegates and 14 alternates to the Washington State Democratic Convention in Vancouver, WA on June 26th. We'll do this in just one round of voting this time!

The secondary business is to adopt an LD Platform. The platform committee will meet formally at 10:00, and will present a proposed platform to the caucus at 12:00. If you are interested in helping to write the platform, please attend the Walk The Plank workshop on 3/13 (the day before the caucus).

If you want to be elected as a Delegate, please show up early to declare your candidacy, and to make your own yard sign. The top 27 vote-getters will be elected as Delegates, with gender parity, and the next 14 vote-getters will be alternates, also with gender parity. Elected delegates and alternates are asked to pay a $50 fee to the WA State Democrats upon their election.
