The 44th Legislative District Democrats

The 44th Democrats endorse the following candidates and ballot measures for 2010.

Endorsed Candidates

• Hans Dunshee (D) for Washington State Representative, Position 1
• John Boerger (D) for Washington State Representative, Position 2
• Jay Inslee (D) for United States Congress, District 1
• Rick Larsen (D) for United States Congress, District 2
• Patty Murray (D) for United States Senate (Nominee)
• Jim Kenny for Snohomish County Prosecutor

Please VOTE YES on these endorsed ballot measures:

• Mill Creek EMS Levy
• Fire District 7 EMS Levy
• Edmonds School District #15 Levy
• Marysville School District #25 Levy
• Everett School District #2 Levy
• Washington State Referendum Bill No. 52, which would approve Engrossed House Bill No. 2561
• Washington State Initiative 1098, which concerns establishing a state income tax and reducing other taxes.

Please VOTE NO on these ballot measures; we endorse their opposition:

• Washington State Initiative 1053, which concerns tax and fee increases imposed by state government. (Eyman)
• Washington State Initiative 1082, which concerns industrial insurance. (BIAW)
• Washington State Initiative 1100, which concerns liquor (beer, wine and spirits) (Retailers)
• Washington State Initiative 1105, which concerns liquor (beer, wine and spirits). (Wholesalers)
• Washington State Initiative 1107, which concerns reversing certain 2010 amendments to state tax laws. (American Beverage Association)

We also considered many other initiatives that failed to qualify for the ballot. We endorsed DO SIGN and VOTE YES on the following disqualified Washington State Initiatives: 1068, 1085, and 1104. We also endorsed DECLINE TO SIGN and VOTE NO on the following disqualified Washington State Initiatives: 1052, 1055, 1056, 1058, 1059, 1060, 1061, 1062, 1063, 1064, 1065, 1066, 1067, 1069, 1070, 1071, 1075, 1076, 1079, 1083, 1084, 1086, 1087, 1088, 1089, 1090, 1091, 1092, 1093, 1101, 1102, 1103, 1106, 1108, 1109, and 1110.

We have not yet considered the question of endorsing ESHJR-4220 or SJR-8225.
