Duties of the Treasurer

• Receives all funds of the organization.
• Prepares disbursement of all funds following the section of the standing rules of this organization entitled "The Rules for Budgeting and Disbursement of Money."
• Maintains an accurate record of receipts and disbursements. Assures that all disbursements, except petty cash items (i.e. disbursements under twenty-five (25) dollars), are paid by check.
• Prepares and submits a monthly summary financial report to the Executive Board.
• Submits annually all records to the Executive Board for financial auditing.
• Prepares and submits all required reports to the Washington Public Disclosure Committee, according to that agency’s published schedule.
• Prepares and submits any other required government and/or Democratic party reports, and notifies the Executive Board in a timely manner of these filings.
• Assists the Chair of the Membership Committee and the Secretary in keeping the membership list current.
• Serves as Chair of the Finance Committee.
• Serves as a member of the Fundraising Committee.
• Performs such duties as may be assigned by the Chair.
