Buy a Cook Book

The book is 200 pages spiral bound and contains almost 150 recipes; it's being sold as a fundraiser for the 44th LD. There are many stories included about why and how these became family favorites.

In addition to recipes from great democrats all across Snohomish County and Washington State, we really scored big with our elected officials!

Our members of Congress Maria Cantwell, Patty Murray, Rick Larsen, and Jay Inslee all contributed. Governor Gregoire and former Governor Locke both submitted recipes as well.

On the national scene we received recipes from President and Michelle Obama, the Bidens, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Jimmy Carter (his peanut brittle recipe!), Howard Dean, John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Al Franken, Amy Klobuchar, Dianne Feinstein, Al Gore, and from the Kennedy foundation we received favorite recipes of John Kennedy, Jackie Kennedy, and Bobby Kennedy as well as the salmon dish served at Rose Kennedys 100th birthday.

Other celebrity democrats include Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Maria Shriver, and Bill Press from AM1090.

Among those from across Snohomish County are County Council members, Steph Wright, Dave Somers, and Dave Gossett; Sherriff John Lovick (who included the recipe for his famous fried turkey!); Assessor Cindy Portmann; County Clerk Sonya Kraski; Shoreline City Councilman Chris Roberts; State Representatives Marko Liias, Hans Dunshee, and State Senator Steve Hobbs.

All in all, this is a very special book!
